Caught in the Rain with Shonda

November 29, 2009

Yesterday I took this and uploaded it from my phone, while trying to stay dry under an awning. Now, looking at it, fills me with joy: The laughter of a dear friend – seeing only the rainbows amidst the storm. THIS is how I strive to live, love, and laugh.

Zoo Visit with The Fam

November 27, 2009

Had a nice visit to the San Diego Zoo with my family today.
While walking past the pink flamingos, they started squawking like crazy. My dad asked, “Is there a coyote in the enclosure!?”
“I think they just want to mate with me, ” I said.
In reality, like my nephew, my heart belongs to the [...]

The sound is coming from inside the house.

It’s an interesting side [...]

The occasion for the BBQ was a going away party for Adam & Katie.
Dear friends and camp mates were moving to Austin.
Until the party, I hadn’t really thought about their absence.
But I will really miss them. They are 2 of maybe 6 people [...]

Tent poles & Intimacy

November 19, 2009

On Tuesday, HugNation’s topic was digital vs. physical intimacy. I also blogged about it.
On Wednesday, based on recent blog posts, I was invited to a local Philosophy Meetup happening that evening a few miles away.
How poetic!
“I’ll go!” I thought.
I had expressed that I wanted to be amongst the people more, and here an opportunity has [...]
