HugNation is about to implement an Ambassador program.

It is something that we used to do long ago in the old CitizenX community (where Hugnation was first hosted.) and it was incredibly useful in keeping and maintaining a vibe of love as the community grew.

Here’s the thing: YOU ARE ALREADY AN AMBASSADOR.

Anytime you are in the hugnation chat room and a new person comes in, You are an ambassador to the vibe.

Your digital smile. Your friendly directions and answers to their questions about “how do I change my name?” or “When is the hug?”
Your freely given hugs.

I am simply asking if some people are willing to take that role slightly more seriously.

For example, I was told there may be some extra traffic today due to a press article.

So, I’d love it if people could hang out in the chat Lounge throughout the day (I’ll be checking in as much as possible, too)
As the role grows, we’ll work together to help to moderate the lounge when “misguided” people are being disruptive. That sort of thing. Maybe even help publicize and promote. Basically Ambasssadors help Spread The Love.

I’ll host occasional meetings for Ambassadors and we’ll start to develop guidelines and procedures. (sounds like red tape…but it is MUCH better to boot someone because they are breaking a rule, rather than because they “got on your nerves” or something subjective or personal.)
