Solstice Rebirth

Winter Solstice 2009 – Just days left in the decade.
My momentum going into 2010 is amazing.
My spiritual practice is strong.
I’m writing a bunch.
I’m seeing a Life Coach.
I’m off my anxiety medication for the first time in 12 years.
I feel more grounded than I have in a long time.
I’m driving the Hugmobile once a week.
I see my family (including my glorious nephews) weekly.
I took a pleasure trip (non Burning Man or work) for the first time in ages.
I feel like I have the tools to stay in control of my thoughts.
I have everything I need to become who I am supposed to be.
Rather than make a New Years’ resolution, I am making a New Year’s presolution.
I want to enter the new decade raw.
So tonight I shaved my head and stripped the pink from my exterior.

The last time it was my natural color was 6 years ago.
The last time my hair was this short, I was in my mother’s womb.

I feel like a spiritual infant – and this is my Solstice birth.
How much can I let go of my story? How much can I trust the Universe?
This Xmas I celebrate my personal savior – constantly being born from within.
Hallelujah.
Love more, fear less.
Float more, steer Less.
Merry Xmas, and a Happy New Year.

  2. I think outward acts can be very important symbolism of what is happening inside us. Good for you to take this step. Plus, your natural color is very becoming of you. May 2010 be a year full of blessings.

  3. Wow…..its strange to see you with this short of a haircut. You looked like a convict in the first pic without seeing your clothing. LOL (that was meant in jest).

Anyhow, it pleases me to watch you grow, even when I am far away from the Hugnation chat. I miss you! *hugs*

  4. I always loved your hair when it was LONG, years ago. It was so thick, curly, shiny and healthy looking – just stunning. I learned to love the shorter hair and the pink color, and I’m sure this new look will grow on me too. The good part is that you won’t have to worry about being handed any “Your hair looks like shit” matchbooks from strangers. LOL!

  5. Hey good for you! You can do it! I randomly found pink people and rode w/you all on the playa this year. (found your page through Gala Darling)
